Austin Family Portraits with a Lakeside View
Last Friday we headed down to the Long Center for a family portrait session. Unfortunately, the wind had other ideas. We were shooting with a 64″ PLM umbrella with a diffusion cover from Paul C. Buff — one of our favorite toys — but there was a bit too much wind on the hill of the Long Center to use it safely. Fortunately, all we had to do was stroll across the street and down to Lady Bird Lake to find a gorgeous spot with much less wind. Although we were disappointed at first that we wouldn’t be able to use the Long Center as our backdrop, we couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out! A bit of Austin skyline, a beautiful lake, a waterside gazebo — it was the perfect place for a portrait session with such a lovely family. Mom, dad, and their three adorable boys (ages 10 and 3) were a joy to work with. Becky was behind the camera, and Nate kept the boys laughing with silly antics like driving a Hot Wheels car across her head. So much fun!
Here’s a little sneak peek from this family portrait shoot. We’re still booking outdoor family portrait sessions for spring through May 26 — contact us today!
